Dear Gary,      I remember when we met in 7th grade we became friends & then we went "steady" as they called it then."I was your girl". I loved the pearl ring you gave me that day.  You know you were  my first real love! I remember you would walk to my house to see me. I couldn't wait to meet you in the mornings as we met halfway & walked together to Redford Union High School. Then you then got your first car, a Pontiac Lemans we were so excited then.  I will tell you again through tears I am so sorry I had to move. We only had the 10th. grade together in HS, then sadly as you remember I had to move to Virginia. I was heart broken!  We kept in contact for awhile by calling & writing letters to one another then the distance seem to grow further & further.. You will always be in my heart &  mind as my first love & I thought then & still yet that you are the most handsome guy around. I will always love you!  Love, Elly

Gary and I met when we were 11 years old, we remained very close friends until his death.  We walked together at Graduation and I will always treasure our friendship he was such a kind and loving soul.  I still miss him, he is always in my thoughts.
