Dad died due to heart complications during a surgery on his main artery.  He had been having trouble from a previous surgery back in 1989.  He rejoined the military in 1980 and left the service in 1992.  When he died he was working as a civilian contractor on the marine base he was last stationed at.  He is survived by two sons and five grandchildren.
