Joseph Louis Porcelli, 61, of Fife Lake, died Saturday afternoon, October 13, 2012, at his home.
Born December 17, 1950, in Sault Ste Marie, he was the son of Thomas and Aurora (Vincenzetti) Porcelli.
While living in Redford, Joe attended Redford Union School.
Joe was a proud veteran and served his country with the United States Army, during the Vietnam War.
In 1969, he married the former Deborah Hickey who preceded him in death in 1980. Together they had one son, Joseph.
Joe found love again and married the former Selene Woolner in 1989 in Port Hope.
He worked for Pontiac Motors and owned his own business until he retired in 1997, to be a stay at home Dad to Cassidy.
Joe was a true biker, who enjoyed riding his Harley. He was an avid golfer who held a membership with the Missaukee Golf and Country Club in Lake City.
He will be fondly remembered as a loving and devoted husband and father.
He is survived by his wife, Selene Porcelli, of Fife Lake; their daughter, Cassidy Porcelli (age 15); his son, Joseph (Jill Sutherby) Porcellli, Jr., of Holly; grandson, Joseph Porcelli, III, of Holly; mother, Ora Porcelli, of Redford; brothers, Thomas (Katherine) Porcelli, of Clarkston, Vincent (Emily) Porcelli, of South Lyons; sisters, Virginia (Stanley) Shook, of Fife Lake, and Maria (Dale) Gowen, of Fife Lake; along with many nieces and nephews.
Memorial Services will be held at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home on Friday, October 19, 2012, at 3:00 P.M. with visitation one hour prior to the service. Deacon Rene Hoenscheid will officiate.
Military Honors will follow under the auspices of the V.F.W. Cherryland Post #2780.
In remembrance of Joe, memorials may be directed to Hospice of Michigan. Envelopes may be obtained at the funeral home.
Cremation has taken place.
